A Table Of Her Very Own

Cute, huh? Gotta love the scrap wood at Home Depot and Grandpa Bingham's house. I Mod Podged some scrapbook paper on top. It turned out pretty cute. Next on my list - Chairs....... I have no idea how to make good sturdy ones. But I am determined to figure it out.

Why?

So, Hayden had been upstairs a long time "getting dressed". Wayne went up to see what was taking him so long and found Hayden with a sad face and a stuck finger. Silly Hayden! Thankfully, as you all know, we have a Hero for a Dad! He got out the vegetable oil and went to work.

Too hot to play

First of all - doesn't this kinda look like a bum?
It's not, it's miss Genevieve's knee after burning it on a hot slide at the park. Seriously, shouldn't the parks be able to be used year round?

This is what it looked like the next day. It has now been almost a week and it still looks pretty yucky. My poor sweet girl!

Fold your arms....

This is Genevieve's prayer look. She looks a little angry doesn't she?

Boys are disgusting!

Our latest project..... Tyler designed and made a bug house for all the nasty things they find crawling around, mostly potato bugs. (Doesn't it look like the bugs are crawling on his face? Yuck!)
Hayden found a Caterpillar. That thing moved a little faster than I thought it would.
Genevieve points at all the bugs and says, "P.U. Yuck!" and pretends to throw them. Then she laughs.

Did you notice the door on top that slides open to put the poor defenseless yet totally disgusting bugs in their new home? Totally Tyler's idea.

Another visit from our Star Wars friends

It's that time of year again - St. George Roadrunners games! We love to go watch and support our local team. We especially love Star Wars Night! Darth Vader threw out the first pitch......very cool.

Miss Genevieve and her favorite hero in the whole world. (And some lady in the background who thought she should pose for our photo. Nice smile lady.)

I'd like to tell you the names of the characters in the first few photos, but I have no idea what they are. However, they meant a lot to our boys.

Darth Vader signed Tyler's shirt and hat. Some kids had light sabers that they brought from home to have all the characters sign. I wish I had thought of that.

It started to sprinkle.....then poured. We ran for cover under the bleachers while Dad, being the hero that he is, braved the storm to retrieve blankets from the car. It poured for about ten minutes then we had sunny skies and warm damp air. What usually is a 2 1/2 hour game ended up being a 4 1/2 hour game because of the rain delay. But we still had fun.

Of course, Hayden always finds time to dance like nobody is watching. I hope he never grows out of that! If only we all could be a little more like our cutie pie Hayden.
