A work of art

It's kind of a tradition to let our one year olds paint with corn syrup and food coloring. They always love to eat it as well as paint with it. It makes a sticky mess, but always fun.

Genevieve loves to ham it up for the camera. Too cute!
Check out those hands.

Sleeping under the stars - well - kind of

  1. We totally destroyed the family room for one night. The boys loved building a giant tent with blankets. Then we decided they could sleep in it. There were a lot of giggles under those blankets. They even built some doors. The men in my life.

Genevieve loved crawling through the fort.

Did you notice the Christmas lights? They were perfect for lighting up the inside.

My cutie pie kids. I'm a lucky lady!

A Milestone!

It's a big day for Genevieve!
I tortured her with pigtails. I've been dreaming of this day.

It looks a little strange seeing that she doesn't really have any hair on top. So, we may not go out in public like this. At least I now know that she has enough hair for pigtails.

A dream come true

Tyler plans on becoming a pilot someday. Thanks to Grandpa Cable, Tyler had "the best day of his life" on Friday. Grandpa took him up in his plane and handed over the controls to Tyler. He loved steering the plane. It was a windy day so the ride was a little bumpy.

Don't you just love the pilot hat?

Hayden loved wearing the headset and pretending to talk in his microphone. By the end of the flight he was feeling a little motion sickness.

Grandma says that if you fly the plane you have to help push it back into the hanger.

Thank you Grandpa!!! You made our little boy very happy!

Genevieve turned ONE!

We had a little birthday party for Miss Genevieve on Saturday. She is our first child to walk before her first birthday so she was a little more fun to watch open presents.
Grandma Cable hand painted a beautiful rocking chair. She immediatly climbed aboard.

We found her a cute stroller which she loved. She has enjoyed putting anything and everything in her stroller to push around the house.

Grandma Bingham brought her a doll that talks. Kinda creepy for a one year old.

The new dolly was not allowed to sit in her beloved stroller. She yanked it out by the ponytail. Since her party she has come to like the dolly a lot more.

Grandma and Grandpa Cable have a traditional gift for their granddaughters.
They give them a pearl each year to add to thier cute necklace.

She had fun with all her gifts. We then stripped her down to have fun with the cake. Aunt Kayla tried to pull her away from her stroller to bring her into the kitchen. Genevieve Hung on for dear life and even wrapped her legs around her stroller (she didn't really cry or make a fuss, thank goodness).
