Gingerbread Houses

Brian and his family were in town for Christmas this year. On Christmas Eve we had fun decorating gingerbread houses. It was fun to see the creative side come out in all of us.

My house had a swimming pool in the back with a palm tree and a firepit.

A tornado went through Wayne's house.

Austin has a mobile home. See the wheels?

Nathan has been playing too many shooting games.

He has some kind of guns attached to his rooftops.

Tyler's house is loaded with worms.

Lisa has a very nice carport with candy cars.

Brian's house is very neatly decorated.

Poor Miss Genevieve tripped and ran straight into the desk. Now she has a new look. It adds character doesn't it?

I LOVE THE SNOW!

The finished snowman. How cute is he? Tyler's friend, also named Tyler, came over to help.

Genevieve wasn't having too much fun. It is tough walking in the snow. Especially when you have on 4 layers of clothes, have no hands, and are still trying to figure out your legs.

I love the snow! I wish we could enjoy it more often. Maybe it will still be here tomorrow.

NO SCHOOL???

St. George is not prepared to have this much snow at once. The schools are closed today. Tyler is very excited. We have already made plans to build snowmen. It's going to be a great day!

Miss Genevieve likes to throw her food and drinks overboard when eating. She then says Uh-oh like it was an accident. We had a little fun with her tonight. Here's some videos we wanted to share with you.

Here's a funny Tyler moment

For family home evening we talked about all the different names for Jesus Christ. One was Immanuel, which means God with us. Tyler said, "I know why else they called him Immanuel. Because He knows the gospel. He's like a MANUEL of the gosple."

We decorated pinecones to hang on our Christmas trees tonight while eating chocolate popcorn made by Tyler.

Even Wayne helped out.

We had pinecones hanging everywhere.

Tyler had this to say while decorating:

We are kind of like pinecones. Do you know why?

Because each one is kinda different, like us.

(Tyler is a deep thinker)

We ran out of places to hang our pinecones while they dried.

We decided to decorate our trees in our favorite colors this year. We have three trees, all different sizes, each year we draw names to decide who decorates which tree.

Tyler was so excited to get the biggest tree this year. His favorite color is green.

Hayden got the medium size tree and made it blue.

I got the smallest and decorated it in red.

Genevieve wanted to help. . . .I guess Uno cards make great ornaments. I love Christmas!

I guess Hayden was a little bored

while I was taking my shower yesterday.

He discovered my concealer pencil and

thought it looked like lip gloss???

Today was a big day for me. I learned how to upload pictures onto the costco website so I can order prints online. My goodness, I am getting better and better with the computer everyday. Maybe we will tackle cell phones next.

Hey Dennis Just checking to see if you are looking at our fantastic blog every now and then. It will get better now that we have high speed internet.

We are attempting this blog thing that everyone else has. Tyler is now 7 years old and is excited about 2nd grade. Hayden is 4 1/2 and a joy to be around. Genevieve is 6 months and is very fun.
