I love our birthday tradition of painting pottery. This was Genevieve's first time and she was so fun to paint with! I was a little nervous because she isn't always super gentle, but she surprised me at how well she listened to my instructions. I sure adore this girl of mine!

pine wood derby

Tyler's first time down the track wasn't anything to brag about. His car was way behind, but we did do a lot of cheering after that! He won the next 5 races.

Tyler won the award for the most futuristic looking car. And do you know why he picked number 76? It's all our families ages added up. Good idea Tyler.

Tyler also earned 4 belt loops: baseball, flag football, marbles and video game. As well as another silver arrow.

Baseball

So...Wayne and Hayden spent some time playing catch in the backyard last night. Hayden missed one of the balls and it hit him right in the nose. What happened next? Well, my Hayden is a bleeder. So, Tyler was up next. However, after seeing what happened to Hayden he did ask that I play instead of Dad. But I reminded him that Dad's aim was much more accurate than mine, therefore, he would be in a lot less danger. Anyway, I was so proud of Hayden for getting back out there with Dad after his nose stopped bleeding. So, I pulled out my camera and got the best shot! I'm still laughing about it!
