Genevieve turned ONE!

We had a little birthday party for Miss Genevieve on Saturday. She is our first child to walk before her first birthday so she was a little more fun to watch open presents.

Grandma Cable hand painted a beautiful rocking chair. She immediatly climbed aboard.

We found her a cute stroller which she loved. She has enjoyed putting anything and everything in her stroller to push around the house.

Grandma Bingham brought her a doll that talks. Kinda creepy for a one year old.

The new dolly was not allowed to sit in her beloved stroller. She yanked it out by the ponytail. Since her party she has come to like the dolly a lot more.

Grandma and Grandpa Cable have a traditional gift for their granddaughters.
They give them a pearl each year to add to thier cute necklace.

She had fun with all her gifts. We then stripped her down to have fun with the cake. Aunt Kayla tried to pull her away from her stroller to bring her into the kitchen. Genevieve Hung on for dear life and even wrapped her legs around her stroller (she didn't really cry or make a fuss, thank goodness).

Gingerbread Houses

Brian and his family were in town for Christmas this year. On Christmas Eve we had fun decorating gingerbread houses. It was fun to see the creative side come out in all of us.

My house had a swimming pool in the back with a palm tree and a firepit.

A tornado went through Wayne's house.

Austin has a mobile home. See the wheels?

Nathan has been playing too many shooting games.

He has some kind of guns attached to his rooftops.

Hayden had more fun eating all the frosting. Nice Face!

Tyler's house is loaded with worms.

Lisa has a very nice carport with candy cars.

Brian's house is very neatly decorated.

We had fun with our decorating.

What a face!

Poor Miss Genevieve tripped and ran straight into the desk. Now she has a new look. It adds character doesn't it?

The finished snowman. How cute is he? Tyler's friend, also named Tyler, came over to help.

My little snow bunny! She was so bundled up that at one point I thought she was going to fall asleep.



Genevieve wasn't having too much fun. It is tough walking in the snow. Especially when you have on 4 layers of clothes, have no hands, and are still trying to figure out your legs.

Here comes the payback!

I love the snow! I wish we could enjoy it more often. Maybe it will still be here tomorrow.
